How It Works
The Environmental Science curriculum prepares students to:

As an Environmental Science major, you will be involved in both classroom and field experiences that teach students about the natural world.
You will be introduced to the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the world around you as well as to global and local issues that must be addressed in order to manage and conserve these natural resources. You will learn how our environment responds to natural and human-made changes, and how we can limit our impact on the planet in order to maintain the health of our home.

The Environmental Science Club (ASC) is comprised of students with an interest in environmental science who will actively work to educate and promote environmental awareness.
The Office of Community Relations and Civic Engagement (ORCCE) is one of the largest campus-wide service organizations on campus. ORCCE has more than 50 student volunteers that have the opportunity to share their knowledge and passion for making a difference in the community. ORCCE accomplishes its work by recruiting, training, and supporting student service leaders in Gainesville and Maury County.
Gainesville Area Habitat for Humanity (GAHFH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding and improving lives through sustainable solutions and community service. GAHFH works to build homes in cities across the United States, primarily in need of affordable housing.
