Microsoft, on the success of the development of the domain of the operating system, slowly wanted to try out different products that could suffice and serve a definite purpose. This very motivation is what led to the invention of the Microsoft Student with Encarta premium 2009 for Windows, If are you are looking for download Windows 10, 8,7, and XP. You can easily download it with ISORIVER. The software was an all-student needed software package that was beneficial to students. The software was available only through sale via DVD/ROM from where it slightly got transferred to the digital platform after the web domain became extensively solid.

However, as the interests in mass storage peaked there were new alternatives into which one can store huge amounts of data and compute the same at the very same time which seemed near to impossible in the late 2000s. That is where Microsoft came up with the idea to develop and launch, Encarta premium, an exclusive multimedia sharing platform that made revelations in the field of multimedia storage. With the Encarta premium, many of the students who were using the Microsoft student package were able to get a hold of their multimedia documents with the help of the involvement from Encarta premium.

Microsoft Encarta is a discontinued digital multimedia encyclopedia published by Microsoft from 1993 to 2009. Originally sold on CD-ROM or DVD, it was also available online via annual subscription, although later articles could also be viewed for free online with advertisements.[1] By 2008, the complete English version, Encarta Premium, consisted of more than 62,000 articles,[2] numerous photos and illustrations, music clips, videos, interactive content, timelines, maps, atlases and homework tools.

In 2000, the full Encarta content became available on the World Wide Web to subscribers, with a subset available for free to anyone.[15] In 2006, Websters Multimedia, a Bellevue, Washington subsidiary of London-based Websters International Publishers, took over maintenance of Encarta from Microsoft.[19] The last version was Encarta Premium 2009, released in August 2008.[2]

Being in school these days is tougher than ever. As a freshman at Brooklyn Tech High School, I know first-hand. We're hit with more homework, more standardized tests, and more competition for good colleges than ever before. That leaves little time for extracurricular and social activities, so anything that can lend a hand is welcome. Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008 offers some pretty helpful tools for making the lives of students in late middle school through high school easier.

Discover & Learn offers students helpful Web links and guides along with Microsoft's digital encyclopedia, Encarta 2008 Premium Edition, which has over 42,000 articles. This is one of the best commercial encyclopedias available. Although nowhere near as comprehensive as Wikipedia with its nine million or so articles, accredited experts contribute Encarta's entries. You can also download article updates, which will integrate into your copy of Encarta. I did so and received 1,257 new articles, including one on Bose-Einstein condensates. (I can't imagine why the authors left this special state of matter out in the first place!)

Student is easy to use, loaded with features, and rich in information, but it's not without some annoyances. It will devour a large chunk of your hard drive, for example, unless you run it from the DVD. And while few people will choose to download the 2.5GB installer, those who do (like me, for example) will wait a long, long time for the huge load of code to come across the wire. These could be issues for students without the latest, fastest equipment or connections.

Overall, I'd say that Microsoft Student 2008 is very helpful to students across all the grades it targets (late middle school through high school). It has some quirks, but not many, and it offers plenty of varied articles, lots of links, and tons of examples. It's well worth the price, and I'd recommend it to any student looking for help on a project, needing inspiration for a book report, or just wanting to spruce up an assignment. There's really no other product available that includes everything that Student does. Sure, you'll find other software for specific math areas such as Algebra, and there are other online encyclopedias, such as Britannica.com, compiled by accredited experts, but these alone cost more than Student. Nothing else gives you nearly the wealth of tools and resources you find in Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008, making it a PC Magazine Editors' Choice for educational software.
